Zoo Berlin

Right into the centre of Berlin only a few steps away from the Kurfürstendamm lays the Zoo, which shows more species than any other zoo in the world. Opened in 1844, it is the oldest zoological garden in Germany.
One of the Highlights is the Nocturnal animal sanctuary. Experience what remains hidden during the day: sniffling aardvarks, jumping bush babies, and the button-eyed Bengal slow loris.

Also located on the zoo grounds is the aquarium, which you can visit separately. Hidden behind the historical façade, and also serving a reminder of the fascinating story of the zoo which was opened in 1913, is a true gem: one of the most species-rich and modern public aquariums of the world.
